I am a big believer in the Hip Hop proliferation on the net. So I will be doing what no other Hip Hop blog is doing and start to post Internet news on here. I think Hip Hop bloggers and participants need to know the movers and shakers in the industry so that we can move on that first come money. So for now on look for stories about the business on the net so that you can get your money up.

For those of you who have been out of the loop there was a bidding war so that Microsoft can get their hands on yahoo. The bid failed but there are people still trying to get them to bid again. Mark Cuban and a guy named Carl Ichan is part of this group. This concerns bloggers because goggle is very concerned about this transaction and a lot of us make our money from adsense. I love google as a company but I do not believe in monopolies. So we will se how this plays out and wether it’s good or bad for us for google to get some competition.

I have to admit I’m not one to usually like songs like this but hey here we are. This song has been out for awhile but this is the new video. This one definitely bumps and I can’t be mad. Congratulations Maino, you have yourself a hit, now just stay out of ringtone rappers territory and you will be fine.

Apparently after spending months inside the pen she was never able to finish listening to her album. After hearing the finish product and not liking the result she has decided to throw 5 new songs on there and add a couple of extras.

I am not one to wish ill against anybody but even before she went to prison she hadn’t dropped any hot stuff in a couple of years. Even so I still think that her "Get me home" is one the top 10 joints in the club ever. For full story get link here.

Perhaps not wanting to make the same mistake again as it did before and totally get rid of him, Legendary hit maker Clive Davis has been moved to a new spot in the BMG family. He will now be Chief Creative Officer. Barry Weiss will be moved to Clive’s old position. It’s is thought that he has closer ties to today’s Hip Hop and R&B pulse.

Popular Internet destination blackplanet.com was sold this week for 38 million dollars. A popular site for people of all colors for over a decade I was surprised to see it sell at such a low premium. Especially considering popular European social community site Bebo.com was sold for almost a billion dollars (850 million) with similar numbers to blackplanet.com.  They were bought by Radio One corporation.

There’s a war going on outside for the soul of the music industry. Itunes is the number one seller of music right now and the record industry is trying to counter act that. This week they hooked up a deal with myspace to give some of their music away for free and to make their money on advertising, merchandising, and other related venues. They also have to watch their flank because company, Live Nation is coming from the left to try to drink their milkshake. They are banking on the work the industry has done in making big name artist and signing them to huge deals to get a piece of their hustle. Who’s going to win this war, no one knows. but it should be an interesting fight.
